SCRIPTURE: “By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted: but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.” Proverbs 11:11
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Crookedness does not add value to a person; rather, it diminishes them.
Welcome to the month of April, 2025! This month, God will open the windows of heaven over you and pour His blessings upon your life in Jesus’ Name.
A major pathway to accessing the blessing of the Lord is a lifestyle of righteousness.
Proverbs 11:11 reminds us that: By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted: but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.
In our world today, many people hinder their access to God’s blessings through a lifestyle of crookedness and ungodliness. For instance, someone may be entrusted with the task of building a house for another person, but instead of doing the job with integrity, they use sub-standard materials and even conspire with suppliers to inflate the prices of materials. This is a crooked behavior, and it blocks the flow of God’s blessings.
Many people pray earnestly for the blessing of the Lord, yet they continue to struggle through life because their crooked lifestyle disqualifies them from receiving breakthroughs. Despite their prayers, their dishonesty closes the door to their ordained blessings.
If it is God you are looking up to for blessings, you must commit to doing things the right way.
I recall a time in my youth when I assisted a man selling goods. One day, someone overpaid for an item, and I promptly informed the man. To my surprise, he said, “So what? Bring the money.” I expected him to return the excess payment to the customer, but he didn’t. I later realized that that kind of behaviour was normal for many people.
The truth is, crookedness does not add anything positive to a person—it only takes away from them.
Remember This: Crookedness does not add to a person; rather, it diminishes them.
